Why Your Back Pain Keeps Coming Back Repeatedly
Rest helps for a week and then it returns. Usually the cause sits somewhere the pain is not.
Back pain that keeps returning is frustrating, especially when it affects your work, your sleep and your ability to exercise. Rest gives temporary relief, but recurring pain usually means the underlying cause has not been addressed.
Common contributors include poor posture, weak core muscles, reduced flexibility, prolonged sitting, incorrect lifting technique, previous injuries, and limited spinal or hip mobility. Each of these places extra load on the muscles and joints of the back.
What physiotherapy changes
An assessment identifies which of those factors apply to you. Targeted exercise, manual therapy, mobility work and posture correction then address the cause rather than the symptom, and you are taught what to keep doing once the pain settles.
